Billet Division

Galwalia Ispat Udyog (P) Limited has been engaged in manufacturing a wide range of steel products for over two decades. Billets are solid semi-finished steel products, produced in square or rectangular form, serving as the essential raw material for manufacturing hundreds of steel products.

Billets are the first and most critical step in the steel value chain. The quality of the billet directly determines the strength, consistency, and durability of the finished product.

A billet is a semi-finished steel product produced through continuous casting. It serves as the primary input for manufacturing TMT bars, structural steel sections, wire rods, and various engineering products. IndoStar Billets are manufactured to ensure uniform cross-section, refined grain structure, and superior metallurgical properties—laying a strong foundation for consistent and reliable steel products.

Superior Manufacturing Process

Billets are produced in a fully automated, integrated steelmaking facility. Carefully selected raw materials are melted in induction furnaces and chemically tested molten steel is cast through a continuous billet caster. Controlled cooling ensures uniform internal structure, precise dimensions, and defect-free billets with consistent mechanical properties.
